Growing Carnivorous Plants in SG

Growing Carnivorous Plants in SG

Date: 8th April 2020 (Wednesday)
Time: 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Venue: The Hive (LHS TR+33)

SGVenusFlytrap is the first local community to incorporate Plant Tissue Culture Technology into breeding carnivorous plants that are proven to adapt to our hot weather. The development of the community reflects a story of a youth – Darren Ng who overcame many setbacks to set up a laboratory to research on Plant Tissue Culture at home. Growing carnivorous plants provides the benefit of hunting down insects naturally without the use of chemicals.

Through a unique learning journey encompassing hands-on activities and educational workshops, the younger generation is presented with a whole new learning experience to better appreciate and integrate science theory and practical applications.

Conducted by:

Darren Ng from SGVenusFlytrap
