Two girls with two dysfunctional families have only one way of escaping their gripping pain – self-deceit.

When Kira, an insecure and socially awkward student, crosses paths with a perpetually angsty “queen bee” Allison, it is apparent that the two were not meant to hit if off. Their heated encounters drive them to a display of their vulnerabilities, and eventually, a test of who their true friends are.

Real, raw and emotional, Fami;liar explores how different individuals react to love and loss. Yet, it leaves us with hanging questions: who are the liars? What are the lies? What happens when denial becomes the only thing familiar to you?
