Lindy Hop

Date: TBC
Time: TBC
Venue: TBC

NTU CAC Lindy Hop is back to conduct a workshop and we’re inviting anyone and everyone interested to experience the joy of Lindy Hop! Originating from Harlem, New York City, in the 1920s and 1930s, Lindy Hop is an American partner dance birthed from the blending of African-American rhythmic movements and European eight-count dance structure.

We will introduce the techniques of grooving to jazz music and teach a four-move combo inspired by Frankie Manning – one of Lindy Hop’s founders. Attendees can look forward to shaking up on the social dance floor using the same moves with different dance partners. Most importantly, they can look forward to having an awesome time Lindy Hopping to a specially curated music playlist for this workshop!
